Short answer: a massage chair can feel relaxing and may ease muscle tension for a while, but we haven't found strong evidence that it treats the cause of back pain, and we don't sell one. The NHS back pain advice is about staying active, heat or cold, and gentle exercises.[1]
Massage chair for back pain: what to know
- Use it for comfort, not as the only plan.
- Avoid it on a fresh injury, a very painful or swollen area, or if you have a medical condition; ask your doctor first.
- Keep up gentle walking and stretches.[1]
If a gentle warm-air session sounds more like what you're after, our first session is complimentary.
