Short answer: PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field, a type of therapy that uses pulsed electromagnetic fields.[6]
What is PEMF?
- What research shows: a 2024 systematic review of 17 randomized trials with 1,197 people with osteoarthritis, mostly in the knee, reported improvements in pain and quality of life. The authors described the results as promising and noted that differences in treatment duration and device type call for further study.[6]
- What it doesn't show: these are studies of specific clinical PEMF devices, not our products, and one review is not proof for every device.
- In our range: the Amazing Body Rejuvenator lists PEMF among its technologies.[8]
- Caution: our product pages say devices aren't recommended for people with pacemakers or electronic implants, or during pregnancy.[8]
When to see a doctor
See a doctor for joint pain that is persistent, worsening or comes with swelling or fever.
